Patchway Student Secures a Flying start for a Career in Engineering
Year 12 student Mark Reed has been accepted onto a prestigious, fully-funded, four-day residential course for Aerospace Engineering at Sheffield University this summer. Mark had to apply for this place and the high standard of his supporting statement ensured that he was successful in a very large field of applicants. As well as enjoying the social scene at the University, during his four days Mark will design and build a waterslide for Rother Valley Country Park as well as construct and fly his own gliders. Experience such as this will undoubtedly provide Mark with a competitive edge to his CV when applying for Engineering Degrees, as well as being a unique opportunity to experience university life in a different city. We would like to congratulate Mark on his success.
